Dan Page Architectural Services are pleased to present the successful delivery of Strong Pilates, a high end, membership only Pilates studio fit out located on Warren Street in Camden, Central London. This fast track commercial interior project was completed within an accelerated 12 week programme, demonstrating efficient design coordination and delivery within a constrained urban environment.
The studio is located within the Lantern Building, a prominent mixed use development in Camden comprising office space and residential accommodation above ground floor level. As a multi storey, high risk building, the Lantern Building required a carefully considered approach to fire strategy, means of escape, and building services integration, particularly when delivering a commercial use at lower ground floor level.
Positioned at lower ground floor level within this complex structure, the project required detailed coordination of fire strategy, mechanical ventilation, and Building Regulations compliance. The constraints of the site, combined with restricted access and the presence of multiple occupancies above, demanded a robust and carefully managed design and construction approach.
The completed Pilates studio reflects a clean, contemporary, and high performance aesthetic, tailored to both operational efficiency and user experience. Key design features include:
- Linear reformer layout to maximise training capacity and optimise space planning
- Full height mirrored walls enhancing spatial perception and user engagement
- Exposed services ceiling creating a modern, industrial interior character
- Integrated mechanical ventilation system coordinated within a restricted ceiling zone
